Character Practice Sheet
A character practice sheet (字帖, zì tiè), or copybook, is Chinese writing paper laid out in rows, where each row opens with a shaded model box for a character you are learning, followed by a line of guided boxes for copying it out repeatedly. Write the character once in the model box, then drill it across the rest of the row.

The grid papers give you a coordinate system for a single character. A copybook gives you a method for a whole page of them. Each row is its own drill: write or trace the character into the shaded box on the left, then repeat it into the ten guided boxes that follow, watching your own strokes converge on the model as you go.
This is the format for building a character list into muscle memory rather than copying it once and moving on. Fill the model box for a new character every row, or hold the same character down the page when one is giving you trouble. Either way, the guided boxes carry the usual rice-grid cross and diagonals, so placement stays honest even as the writing speeds up.
