Vocabulary Practice Sheet
A vocabulary practice sheet (生字表, shēng zì biǎo), or "new word table", is a ruled worksheet for recording new Chinese vocabulary. Each row gives a box for the character, ruled lines for its pinyin and meaning, and a small set of boxes for writing it out again.
Also known as Sheng Zi Biao, new word list, vocabulary log sheet.

Vocabulary Practice Sheet · 生字表 About this paper
This is the sheet for the moment a new word actually shows up, whether that’s mid-lesson, mid-book, or mid-conversation: write the character in its box, the pinyin and meaning on the lines beside it, then use the practice boxes to get it into your hand before you move on. One row per word keeps a reading session or a lesson’s new vocabulary on a single, scannable page.
Unlike the grid papers, which are built for repetition of characters you already have, this sheet is built for capture: it is the page you keep open while you read, not the one you fill in afterwards. Fill a sheet during a reading session and you have an instant, self-made vocabulary list to revisit later.
