Pinyin field grid paper (拼音田字格, pīn yīn tián zì gé) is Chinese character practice paper that pairs a ruled pinyin line with a field grid square for every character. The line above records the reading; the quartered square below holds the character itself.

A character on its own doesn’t remind you how to say it. This sheet solves that by giving every field-grid square a ruled line directly above it, sized for pinyin with tone marks. Write the reading, then the character, and the two stay paired on the page rather than living in separate notes.
